Rope - Alfred Hitchcock
Rope is another Hitchcock film
that has a great element of suspense. The film is a 'What if film' that is
based on a true story. The film tells the story of Phillip and Brandon, two young killers, (inspired no doubt by Leopold and Loeb) This is one of Hitchcocks best films where the two men strangle their class mate and then invite their friends and relatives to a dinner party where they assess the 'perfection' of their crime through the film they are dropping
clues and daring guests to grow more suspicious of their jests and the man
who has failed to make an appearance. The question is
do they get caught?
