Who is Alfred Hitchcock?

Alfred Hitchcock was an English film producer and died in 1980, he made many different types of thrillers and loved the odd desirable blonde in his productions. Also he took the film scene of Hollywood by storm, and he eventually spent many great years there.

He is still considered on of the best:
Hitchcock directed more than fifty feature films in a career spanning six decades. Often regarded as the greatest British film-maker  he came first in a 2007 poll of film critics in Britain's Daily Telegraph which said: "Unquestionably the greatest film-maker to emerge from these islands, Hitchcock did more than any director to shape modern cinema, which would be utterly different without him. His flair was for narrative, cruelly withholding crucial information (from his characters and from us) and engaging the emotions of the audience like no one else."

  1. Kyle, so far in class we have compiled a recipe for a thriller and studied “The Birds”, “Psycho” and “Unknown”. For each of these you should have a blog. Please go back and complete any that are missing. If you need me to send any notes about missing ones, please email me. Remember to copy key scenes from films etc and to analyse/deconstruct tension is created. You should also be adding your own thrillers to the blog. How do they fit into our recipe?
